Glass, Cinder & Thorns

another fantastic show @ 323 East going on March 20th!

Curated by April Segedi, Manager of the gallery, thought there too many male artists in their lineup, so she went and gathered a slew of amazing female artists for this group show!

can you spot my piece?
We decided to promote both my newest limited edition print, and the show together.
They deemed me the "spokes girl" for the show, and Im honored for the title.
So April and I will be doing some media type stuff this week together.
looking forward to it :)

super rad photographer Joe Gall, came by the studio to do some promotional shots. Check out Joe's work, very cool stuff.

Psst....that painting in the back there, is for my summer show "The Great Balancing Act". I'll have about 12 possibly more paintings for this show. More info on that later.

Camille Rose Garcia @ Merry Karnowsky

I was lucky enough to find out that Camille Rose Garcia was having an opening while we were there.
So I called up my friend Irene, along with her friend Tristan and my Aaron we crammed out bodies in to the packed Merry Karnowsky. Camille was there signing her book, and the line for that was insane!

Irene and I, performing our perfected awkward photo
I finally got to get a Camille print, I got the one on the top .

On the other side of the gallery, was Miss Vans work.

Me and Aaron were attacked by a drunk girl named Tuesday, who proclaimed to us she thought the bathroom was in the corner and almost peed on the floor. She continued her weirdness and took our camera and made us let her take our picture. Picture not included in this post, due to the blur created by a very drunk girl.

Venice Beach

So since the gallery was in Venice we figured why not stay in Venice. We got to check out Venice beach. Which reminds me of a Carnival mixed with a flea market with beautiful scenery, its something else.

we stayed at hotel Erwin, which overlooked the ocean, if you had the right room..which we didnt, but all we had to do was talk to few steps to see the ocean.

there are a lot of runners in California...A Lot.

C.A.V.E

Im really starting to love California. I know that sounds obvious to some, but living in Detroit, your used to a certain way of living, and its all little hard to absorb a place like California. But Im starting to absorb it, and its good. The Show @ C.A.V.E was fantastic, the owners Patrick and Tonya are lovely! And I got a chance to meet some greet people!

these little trucks are quite a thing over there. Again we dont have stuff like this here, and its unfortunate.
This here is Don Chow, a mix of Mexican and Chinese, my husband raved about how good it was.

if your in the area go check out the gallery over on Rose ave, in Venice.
