not much outside of my life or my families lives bother me much.
I dont talk politics, or religion. I dont go on forums to rant. I never state my opinion unless asked.
But this bothers me. I know in the grand scheme its nothing. But Art to me is something. And without my family and faith, Art would be all I have.
the famous Banksy graced our decaying city walls. Within the past few days word got around, of 3 Banksy "pieces". And within those few days someone took the daunting task, of taking a sledge hammer and stealing Detroits Banksy's.
why does this bother me?
Is it because it now sits in a gallery? Maybe to be flipped?
Or is it because, we were given free beauty, and we managed to destroy it, just like everything else?
Out of all the Banksy's in the world, we ruin ours. Go figure.
And yes, it would have been ruined either way, and I guess that is what bothers me.....
The fact that it dosent matter.

I don't talk politics or religion either so I know where you are coming from. (Sometimes I feel like I don't even know enough to have an opinion on either subject matters.) Most art that is political or religious I honestly don't care for too much either...idk why. Yet I can appreciate it. Maybe because they have the balls to do it! :)
Oh and btw: I'm watching Eternal Sunshine atm...it's on TV. Can't wait to see your Clemintine! :)
well, Im all for people speaking their minds through their art. But some people just are distasteful, or want to be seen and heard instead of just expressing themselves. Thats what bothers me, and most times people are misinformed and speak without knowing what they talking about.
The beautiful thing about art, is that you dont have to understand it, or go to school to learn it. You feel it, and none can tell you your wrong.

I really liked what you said (ABOVE)...that's why I cut & pasted it. SO SO SO TRUE...I believe that 150%! Good point.
But yeah, I don't like those people who are misinformed-egh! And I don't like distasteful art JUST to be shocked or to feel something...uncomfortable, I guess.
Cool about Clementine! Love her character so much. ^_^
